Assist in the analysis of investment opportunities for bank clients by performing detailed financial modeling, including the use of many different software programs, to assess the viability of a given financial investment. Responsibilities also include conducting regular meetings with owners and managers of businesses to identify possible acquisitions, performing market research, reviewing comparable transactions, assessing the assumptions underlying the investment analysis, performing detailed due diligence regarding potential investments, including reading contracts, meeting management interviewing customers, hiring environmental and other specialists
to identify potential legal or environmental issues associate with the investment.
Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in an investment or equity research analyst-related occupation.
Experience must include: 1. Corporate valuation: financial modeling skills, including building and understanding a discounted cash flow model, a leverage buyout model and a merger model; 2. Mergers and acquisitions experience: reviewing and analyzing financial statements, investment memorandums and financial models; 3. Transaction experience: working on corporate mergers and acquisitions in emerging European markets, as well as interaction with corporate management and the financial sponsors; 4. proactive sourcing of investment opportunities from own network and other industry contacts; 5. performing quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective investments and monitor existing investments; 6. assuming responsibility for coverage of selected European markets; and 7. using Microsoft Office software for the purposes of quantitative analysis and financial modeling (Excel) and presentation of findings (Word, PowerPoint).
