Job Summary:
As an experienced researcher you will provide timely and high-quality authoritative research to support requests from The Private Equity sector, including supporting the Private equity Global Sector Center.
The research supports data-driven deliverables in response to customer needs, including in-depth complex information that identifies key industry players and issues in order to support strategic decision making.
The Private Equity Researcher is responsible for undertaking research and packaging the results into synthesis-driven deliverables using a range of internal and external specialty tools, resources and databases. You will team with colleagues supporting the Private Equity sector and contribute to analytic deliverables and white papers.
In addition, you will provide coaching to customers on the use of knowledge tools and assists customers in identifying resources that address their requests and champion the sharing of knowledge within the firm.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Delivers synthesis-driven qualitative research to fulfill both structured and unstructured requests to support the Private Equity sector, often under the guidance of a senior colleague
Proactively supports priority accounts through in-depth company research; serves as emerging subject matter expert in the field of knowledge resources and data availability
Collaborates with analysts and conducts research to support the creation of thought leadership; prepares and assists in the completion of industry newsletters or updates
Leverages an extensive range of external and secondary research resources for information gathering
Understands financial statements and can blend inputs from qualitative and quantitative sources into a compelling narrative
Conducts primary research as appropriate and synthesizes the information into a clear message
Conducts or assists in delivering presentations, training and workshops for internal clients on key business issues and developments

Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
An understanding of financial statements and reporting
Able to interact with all levels, including senior management
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Management, Journalism, Law or related subjects, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
Three or more years’ experience in business or industry research as appropriate
Knowledge and experience in a professional services environment preferred
