The Proactive Maintenance analyst is a part of a team responsible to maintain the desktop image in the production environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to creating and testing time saving automation, tools and utilities for the department as well as the rest of Workplace 2.0
Deploy software packages and patches to 24,000+ desktops and laptops
Generating statistical reports for deployment results, computer configurations and inventories
Monitor the health of the computing environment, troubleshooting desktop issues
Maintaining the deployment/asset management systems, create and host department websites.
Requires 5 years experience with programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, AutoIt, Wise Packaging S
ystem, and Java in an enterprise environment
Requires 10 years or more experience working Microsoft Windows operating systems, including in depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/7 in an enterprise environment.
A strong competency to thoroughly research issues, gather information and construct solutions is essential.
Experience generating status reports using spreadsheet applications such as Excel, Access and built in reporting tools in systems such as Altiris, CA Unicenter, Microsoft SCCM
The understanding of positive and negative impact of mass deployment to the business computers is mandatory
Knowledge to query data from server operating systems, SQL database, Microsoft Active Directory
Knowledge of software deployment/asset management systems
Required is the ability to clearly communicate instructions and procedures in verbal and written formats
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or other relevant field is a strong plus
