Stage, calibrate and test instrument slides, consumables and other components as necessary under limited supervision to provide consumable materials to Finished Goods.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stage materials for efficient product flow.
Run slides, reconstitute fluids, and fill out documentation.
Record test procedures and results.
Follow through on implementation of the test schedule and recommend changes where necessary.
Complete documentation related to testing procedures and the tracking of materials in test and pending receipt.
Use specialized instruments or process knowledge in working as a team contributor in single or multiple work centers.
Recommend changes in product or test method for improvement or consistency.
Perform tests and experiments to support investigations of various production and instrument support issues.
Meet or exceed all safety requirements.
Perform required preventive maintenance.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
High school diploma or equivalent
Entry level. Related experience and/or training.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, interpret and carry out detailed instructions furnished in either written, oral or diagram form
Ability to positively communicate with peers and support staff
Basic math skills and ability to work with units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Strong problem solving skills; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently in the absence of a supervisor
Regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
Occasionally required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push/pull pallet jacks and carts.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts; may be exposed to risk of electric shock; and occasionally exposed to vibration and lasers.
Personal protective equipment and/or clothing required.
