The Process Control Engineer is responsible for administrating and providing support for Process Control Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the Covington , VA carbon plant. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
In this critical role, you will: Initiate, supervise, and coordinate the installation, implementation and start-up of new Process Control and Manufacturing Execution Systems Provide support for new and existing plant control systems and manufacturing information systems to include: configuration, troubleshooting, operator training, optimization, documentation and maintenance Configure and manage databases that monitor plant process variables Identify and develop strategies in support of continuous improvement of manufacturing and process control systems Configure process control work stations and support the process control network Support manufacturing strategies through process control system programming WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred 5+ years of experience in industrial environment with part of this in a Process Control position Proven process control experience including implementation and operation of computer-based supervisory control and data acquisition systems. PLC, DCS and communications network design and data collection configuration. Applications knowledge desired includes A-B, PI, Yokogawa, SAP, Microsoft applications Experience with design/configuration of Manufacturing Execution Systems Experience with the sizing, selection and installation of process control instrumentation is desirable. Troubleshooting and malfunction diagnosis of instrumentation systems would be a plus
