PROCESS ENGINEER AkzoNobel is proud to be one of the world's leading industrial companies. We are looking for a Process Engineer for our Huron, Ohio facility. The Process Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes to achieve improved performance, utilize Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing methodologies to improve and sustain manufacturing processes, provide general and technical support in the areas of production, and assist in various training activities in the areas of quality, continuous improvement and safety. Description: 1. Process Analysis and Improvement: Identify root causes and performance gaps, develop process improvement methods, and develop control plan and monitor improvement results. 2. Quality System Compliance: Develop digitized process maps for all processes, develop effective processes to mitigate risk, and audit performance against metrics. 3. Process & Paint Making Training: Participate in the development of work instructions for the operation of all process equipment, ensuring instructions are available. Train production team members on the correct use of process equipment & validate their understanding. Train production team members on the paint making process including all the correct monitoring and recording of the process. Education and Qualifications: -Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering -Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Strong data analysis and PC literate in the use of MS Excel, MS Power Point and Minitab -Excellent management and problem solving capabilities -Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task -Knowledge and demonstrated use of quality tools such as flowcharting, pareto analysis, process mapping, fishbone analysis and six sigma -Experience of identifying and solving problems within a manufacturing environment through the utilization of data and people. -Excellent technical knowledge process equipment (theory and actual function) as well as have successfully completed a number of different projects to improve performance. -Experience with automated process control systems is preferred but not an essential requirement.
