This position is part of the ESS Software Supply Chain. The
Process Engineer function within the Engineering Operations group is
responsible for fulfillment of software and licenses to our ESS Software
customers. This is a growing area with complexities that require individuals
with creativity and flexiblity coupled with technical experience.

Qualifications
Responsibilities
Designs,
develop and/or implement portions of engineering solutions utilizing
multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and
solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance
with provided specifications and requirements
Execution of
ESSN SW SC delivery process for Media and License. Including but not
limited to:
SC Plan of
Record review
Execution of
ESS software bit delivery process. Including: Original Sale Business,
Electronic Delivery, Update Software Business, NFR, Demo, Patch, Internal
Delivery
WWClass
submission and verification of lower-level parts
Entitlement
setup for print to order in the regions.
BOM creation
from SW PE handoff. This includes:
Insertion of standard parts, format for PDM handoff, SW PE review, PDM
handoff
Artwork/document
creation through manufacturing tools like epress
Regional
Factory (HP and ODM) processes understanding
Quality Program
support and enforcement including SW content verification, first article
inspection, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
Develops
understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development
partners on process development and implementation.
Participates as a member
of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development
partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low
to moderately-complex products.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors
Degree related to engineering/science or substantial work experience (6-8+
yrs), MIS or CS preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
working on problems/projects of moderately complex scope.
Working
knowledge in web management, including internet, intranet, and portal
technologies
Knowledge
and/or experience with software manufacturing processes
Knowledge
and/or experience with software release process and distribution
General
Product Engineering knowledge and/or which includes product structure,
setup, and delivery Familiarity with Product Life Cycle
Familiarity
with software standards , including versioning, ISSO 9660 standards,
EULAs, and multi OS CDs and DVDs.
