Implement, document and support manufacturing processes and equipment that assure capable and reliable production of PD flow meters.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes through upgraded technology and manufacturing methods.
Ensures the efficient and safe functioning of all the processes related to producing a product.
Responsible for the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for PD Meters.
Key driver of improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
Reviewing and updating of control plans for production
Support the launching of new production lines and implementing modifications driven by any design or process changes.
Initiating and following up of corrective action(s) created through internal processes or customers.
Utilization of analysis and problem solving tools including but not limited to:
FMEA and DFMEA including System FMEA
DFSS others usage
Serve as technical liaison for product design analysis supporting new and current products and working closely with design engineers on development and research projects.
Designing processes and equipment related to the creation of products or services that are cost effective and in keeping with a given budget.
Assessing safety requirements and ensuring that these are integrated into the process.
Integrating new technology, equipment, and/or environmentally friendly practices into existing processes.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Serving as the department leader when needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A solid foundation in engineering concepts is a vital Process Engineer requirement.
Strong understanding of Lean Principles
Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) principles
Good analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail are also essential
Project management, leadership and team work skills are important to ensure that all factors come together to complete a given assignment on time.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
Quality Tools (Six Sigma, DFSS, 8D, FMEA, MSA,PPAP)
Experience in flow laboratory calibration, accuracy requirements, and pressure testing
Candidates should be hands-on.
Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external.
Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
