Process Improvement Business Analyst

Position Description:
This position reports to the Director of Executive Customer Relations.

The incumbent will be responsible

for the identification of process improvement opportunities based on analyzing various data sources, documenting formal requirements, and partnering with other teams to implement change resulting in improvements in productivity and overall customer experience.

Specifically, by leveraging business experience, customer feedback and the use of analytical tools, t

his individual will indentify solutions by determining ways processes, products, and/or services can be improved.

These ideas will be communicated to leadership for prioritization.

Lastly, this individual would develop underlying processes that align with performance reporting and prioritization and tracking of all process improvement activities led by the Executive Customer Relations team.

Principle Accountabilities:
Identifies data sources that when analyzed, could potentially deliver improvements in customer experiences and productivity Ensures customer feedback and the outcome of customer failures are incorporated into the data mix for improvement opportunities.

Using output from analysis identifies top “opportunities”; constructs process maps identifying defects/service breaks and develops potential solutions supported by data reflecting productivity improvement etc.

Creates database or other alternative mechanism to serve as repository of data used in analysis activities along with tracking associated with action plans

Monitors progress on activities and publish corresponding progress reports

Prepares performance results by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends (includes formal reports)

Creates applicable procedures supporting new processes or modified processes

Creates business requirement documentation as needed

Overtime, acquires a deep understanding of operational processes across the department

Performs other duties or responsibilities that may be required to effectively and efficiently support the team

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum two – three years experience in banking industry; Minimum five years of experience in data/business analytics; Minimum two-three years experience in development of executive level reporting; Minimum two years experience in developing formal business requirement documentation; Experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Special skills/abilities/competencies required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational skills and time management skills

Strong analytical skills

Project experience

Strong problem solving skills

Experience in a deposits and/or operations area

Experience in effectively recommending and implementing appropriate business process improvement plans

Ability to interact effectively with staff at different levels of the company, as well as with external vendors if required

Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and development/maintenance of databases

Experience using workflow management processes/tools

Ability to manage business analyst responsibilities for multiple, parallel activities

Formal Process Engineering experience is preferred, but not required

Six Sigma Certification (Greenbelt) preferred or equivalent
