TITLE: Process Operator

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Process Technology preferred. In lieu of Process Technology degree, a high school diploma (or equivalent) with minimum three (3) years of experience as a Process Operator or Maintenance Technician, in a chemical plant or refinery, may be accepted. Additionally, three (3) years military active duty experience, in a related military occupational specialty, may be accepted in lieu of Process Technology degree. Bachelor’s degree in other fields is acceptable.
Follow both written and verbal instructions from supervision and make acceptable shift relief.
Keep acceptable logs, log readings as required and take samples as scheduled. May be required to do some lab analysis.
Inspect the unit for faulty equipment operation and report faulty operation to supervision. Write maintenance work orders for equipment repair.
May serve as a member of the Fire Brigade, and Rescue Team.
Take outside readings as per schedule. Analyze deviation and take actions. Discuss corrective actions with Hot or Cold Board person. Notify Supervisor of key deviations.
Collect samples as per schedule. Review results with Board Operator and/or Shift Supervisor and participate in making plans to correct deviation.
Prepare equipment for maintenance (hydrocarbon freeing, lockout/tag out, etc.); monitor on-going activities and put back in service when completed.
Participate in training as required to maintain job qualifications and also meet all HSE training requirements.
Must be willing to work a 12-hour, rotating shift schedule and work overtime as needed.
