JOB DESCRIPTION FOR
The Process Technician is responsible for maintaining each of the foam systems process parameters, mold release applications, part quality and training of Client production personnel. The Process Technician will perform the following duties in compliance with the requirements of ISO/TS 16949.
Monitor, maintain and documentation of each cell and foam system process parameters using layered process audits daily.
Perform and verify foam reactivity and free rise density is with in Client process specifications per each cell daily.
Adjust metering equipment to process the foam system under the required parameters.
Monitor and document mold release output from cell.
Work with and assist process engineers with product process development.
Set up and ensure all molds are ready and running quality parts for all PPAP and Run at Rates submitted by Engineering.
Produce sample parts as needed by Engineering Dept.
Maintain a library of data relative to current processes and product compliance. Also data relative to comparable materials and processes/products.
Provide training to personnel relative to proper production applications and methods on all new molds. (Proper Demold, Cleaning, Mold release spray)
Maintain process set-up sheets/work instructions.
Documentation and monitoring of Process SPC documentation
Assignments from Process Engineers and Management.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of quality assurance policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Urethane Chemicals and Urethane Metering Equipment.
Knowledge of general plant operation.
Ability to resolve manufacturing process problems.
Ability to operate plant equipment.
Ability to solve math equations.
Understanding of SPC data.
Proficient in writing skills in English
Proficient in speaking English
1 to3 years experience in Urethane Processing, 3 to5 years manufacturing experience in the automotive industry or equivalent education experience.
