DuPont Displays - OLEDs (Organic Light Emitting Displays) is an R&D business situated primarily in Santa Barbara, California, working to develop materials and processes aimed at the manufacture of OLEDs to be used in commercial applications.
This is a hands-on position, where the candidate is expected to work as part of a team supporting the process development line (PDL). The majority of work will be performed in a cleanroom and utilizing tools inside and outside of a glove box. This position will require extensive time using hands to manually manipulate articles in a precise and consistent manner as well as frequent standing. This position also requires plate inspection and handling in reduced lighting. The technician needs to be able to work under minimal guidance after proper training. This work will be completed during a day work shift.
This technician will support process development in the following ways:
Carefully follow established procedures and written instructions to conduct engineering tests using small scale production equipment. Must be able to adapt if processing directions change on short notice.
Monitor equipment, collect data, keep logs, document findings, and communicate results.
Assist with troubleshooting if erroneous or unexpected results occur.
In addition to the above tasks, this technician will have individual responsibilities to:
Demonstrate DuPont’s Safety First work practices in their daily routine
Maintain good housekeeping in cleanroom and office environment.
Execute daily schedule and engineering development activities.
Communicate effectively with fellow technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
Cross-train into other support activities as necessary.
Position is located in Santa Barabara, CA and relocation is not offered.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively with work teams (written and verbal).
Basic Computer Skills (MS Word and Excel).
Preferred candidate will have previous experience in one or more the following areas
Semiconductor wafer handling/processing
Clean room protocol.
WIP-type wafer tracking program.
Vacuum deposition and/or sputter equipment operation
Glove box operation.
