This position is for Innertech Spartanburg, a division of Magna Exteriors and Interiors. Magna Exteriors and Interiors, an operating unit of Magna International, designs, engineers, and manufactures a variety of products for the automotive, commercial transportation, consumer, and industrial markets. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To operate the process in a efficient manner while maintaining a high degree of quality of the production floor in order to exceed customer expectations RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: Responsibility for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949, ISO14001and OHSAS 18001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report issues to Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
Knowledge and Education
High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical training is a plus.
Minimum 3 years manufacturing/mechanical experience. Automotive experience is a plus.

•Must be able to analyze scrap and rework data and develop plans to improve
•Must be the liaison between Engineering and Operations
•Must be able to work safely and be able to direct others in safe work practices
•Must be able to perform first level preventative maintenance on equipment and tools
•Must be able to quickly identify equipment issues and involve support such as the Maintenance Team when the problem warrants
•Must direct and monitor execution of the production schedule
•Must be able to inspect the parts and perform process trouble shooting
•Must direct team in maintaining a clean and well organized work area
•Visually monitor housekeeping and plant organization
•Monitor and address safety & environmental concerns on the shop floor
•Monitor quality issues toward our goal of zero defects
•Improve efficiency by reducing set-up times
•Reduce scrap and improve efficiency
•Be active in the Continuous Improvement suggestion program
•Assist supervisor as directed
•All other requirement as directed by Management
Continuous standing; frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs., though most parts weigh less than 20 lbs. each); reaching to access parts in fixtures; racks etc; frequent bending; good hand-eye coordination; occasional stooping & crawling; 100% visual inspection of finished goods and completed components; gross and fine motor skills required; compliance with personal protective equipment requirements Changing customer demands and the resultant pressure to become a World Class just-in-time supplier; machine, tooling, and material problems that result in downtime; schedule changes; personnel issues which arise in dealing with a day to day issues that arise within the work force.
Process Techs may require travel when needed. Must be able to handle pressure and maintain a positive attitude on a daily basis. Individuals in this position should seek out ways to improve the work process, quality, or safety by submitting Continuous Improvement suggestions.
