General Summary
This position is responsible for supporting operations and testing at the new SCR catalyst testing facility. This position includes operation of facility control systems and sampling systems, performing a variety of assigned tasks related to operating and maintaining the test facility and sampling equipment, and collecting samples for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains SCR Test Facility and associated equipment and sampling systems.
Applies advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization.
Takes responsibility for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.
Understands the operation of pilot-scale equipment and makes judgments to maintain safe and on-specification operation.
Defers to Staff Engineer/Operations Manager for guidance.
Strictly adheres to safety and reporting requirements.
Performs the collection and identification of specific samples for subsequent analysis.
Maintains a good relationship with customer or client through delivery of quality products.
Develops a good technical understanding of the SCR process and catalyst testing requirements.

Position Specific:
Operation of Industrial Control Systems associated with the SCR Catalyst Testing Facility.
Monitors facility operations and identifies and reports maintenance needs.
Participates in beginning- and end-of-shift briefings and summary reports.
Possesses familiarity with safe work procedures involving high temperature combustion processes.
Participates in repair of components including valves, piping, and electrical, hydraulic and mechanical machinery.
Participates in safe and reliable plant operation.
Inspects assemblies per established procedures.
Ensures maintenance and repairs of instrumentation are completed in a timely manner.
Follows standard practices and procedures to accomplish tasks/duties that are varied but standardized.
Resolves complex problems based on technical understanding of industrial processes and good technical judgment; when necessary requests advice or guidance from Project Manager or Staff Engineer.
Uses judgment within defined policies and practices.
Operation of Forklift and/or Bobcat as needed.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED required.
Technical associates degree preferred.
0 - 2 years relevant experience desired.
Must be able to work on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule or four 10hr days per week if necessary.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be able to successfully pass a respirator fit test.
Must be able to work at heights of up to 25 feet with appropriate harness equipment.
Must be able to climb up and down steps on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
