DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
Position is responsible supervising all production areas at the Gaylord 2 facility and for the training, scheduling and development of 20+ employees during 3rd shift production and sanitation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing including optimization and continuous improvement.
Responsible for full and complete training of all employees for safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out, emergency evacuation, PPE, Haz-Com, SQF, quality requirements, etc.
Reviews production and operating reports to ensure they are complete and accurate and is responsible for departmental cost control.
Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and improved efficiency.
Monitors Company Quality Control programs, Pre-op inspections, and sanitation SOPs to maintain company and USDA requirements.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Maintains consistent communication and fosters teamwork between all personnel, departments and shifts.
Provides a safe working environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills.
Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasks.
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
College degree preferred.
2- 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in the food industry.
Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
