The Procurement Analyst will manage the procurement related activities for the Iberdrola gas business in the US and Canada. This position will work with local business units as well as Madrid-based business units within parent company, to achieve collaboration, mutual commitment and excellent service while meeting procurement policies, procedures and annual objectives.

Main purpose of job · Providing competitive advantage and cost reductions in the acquisition of goods, works and services through the professional management of purchasing and supply chain activities including the management of suppliers and the negotiation of contracts and associated commercial issues.
· Working closely with the Business to support the development, construction or operation of infrastructure projects, assets, systems and services by understanding business drivers and market dynamics. Assisting in the development of appropriate contracting strategies and negotiating one-off contracts and framework agreements that meet the Business specifications and timescales.
· Leading and supporting the commercial aspects of contract negotiations, and managing commercial and contractual activities both pre-contract and where appropriate post-contract to ensure delivery of best value whilst meeting Iberdrola Group Procurement processes.
· Ensuring that ENSTOR’s requirements are sourced from suitable, ethical and sustainable sources of supply using appropriate contractual and commercial arrangements that fully consider the most appropriate risk allocation.
· Providing advice in relation to sourcing and purchasing activities to all stakeholders. Liaising with colleagues in the US and globally to ensure sharing of information and delivery of best value from a common supply chain.
Where appropriate, work with colleagues to ensure that the commercial risks associated with the business requirements are identified and understood and reflected in the appropriate technical and commercial documentation.
              Responsibilities include: ·
                  Supporting the management of commercial aspects for key areas of business activity.
                  · Assisting in the development and implementation of Procurement Plans involving working with the Business to establish future contracts to deliver the requirements of the business function.
                  · Managing, developing and maintaining approved supplier lists and pre-qualification criteria, extending the supply chain by identifying and pre-qualifying potential new suppliers as a result of actively seeking out relevant high-quality/competitively priced products, services, suppliers and contractors in the local and international markets.
                  · Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant markets, strategy, and related business transactions relevant to gas business, along with strong long-term relationships with supply chain organizations.
                  · Working closely with colleagues within the procurement function across Iberdrola Group to exploit areas of global procurement synergies / cost reduction and to facilitate benchmarking and optimize negotiation strategies.
                  · Striving to achieve both cost reduction and the best conditions available in the market through competitive and transparent procurement processes.
                  · Leading the tendering process and negotiation of commercial aspects of contracts to deliver the ENSTOR Business Plan objectives, ensuring the compatibility of technical and commercial elements: o
                  Analyze business requirements (technical specifications and annexed documents) prior to issuing the Requests for Proposals (RFPs). o
                  Document RFP bid review process and contract award recommendations. o
                  Prepare bid packages and publish (RFPs). o
                  Review and analyze price submittals, compare with reference prices and budgets and negotiate pricing and terms and conditions. o
                  Use SAP enterprise resource planning system; SAP browser-based system for publication and management of RFPs; and related SAP functionality.
                  · Producing and analyzing timely reports for local/international management team, executive team, and/or relevant Board/Committee meetings.

                    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
                    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as it relates to the job responsibilities, particularly:
                      • An understanding of best practice procurement principles, practices and processes including both tactical and strategic procurement principles.
                      • Some commercial contract and negotiation experience in leading full or part of the contract negotiations in conclusion of equipment and services contracts.
                      • Good all round understanding of financial, commercial and business principles and risk mitigation practices plus basic knowledge of contract law to recognize any exposure and seek appropriate advice from the legal team when required.
                      • Experience using supply chain systems, software and methods, preferably SAP.
                    • Excellent organizational and self-performance management abilities and flexibility in order to manage multiple, conflicting and changing priorities of workload and satisfy expectations of internal customers and external parties; work and make decisions under pressure, proactively meeting tight deadlines; balance conflicting requirements of quality cost and time; track record of delivery within agreed timescales; proactively anticipate issues and conflicts and define effective strategies to overcome them.
                    • Excellent interpersonal communication, tactful negotiation, and influencing skills.
                    • Excellent analytical skills. Good written and oral communication skills.
                    • An effective team worker, with some experience of working in a multi-functional project team desirable.
                    • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and record keeping in electronic and hard copy. Advanced level of proficiency with computer applications/MS Office suite, primarily Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint.
                    Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
                    • Energy industry experience, especially within oil and gas.
                    • Advanced Degree in relevant field of study.
                    • Certified Purchasing designation or qualifications.
                    • Advanced/conversational proficiency in Spanish.
