The Construction Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing new construction related contracts and analyzing existing contracts for renewal or change. In addition to analyzing market conditions, assisting in the planning for new procurement goals, and providing subject matter expertise to executives, this position is also responsible for:
Preparing and implementing supplier bidding and contract documents for construction related procurement of goods and services.
Analyzing current spend and budget information to assist the Senior Procurement Manager in the development of sourcing targets and goals.
Generating scopes of work for specific goods or services and coordinate contractor pricing for the RFP request for the specific good or service.
Consolidating and preparing bid analysis and presents analysis to management or makes recommendations for approval by management. Qualifications:
This position requires 3 to 5 years related experience in the construction management or construction purchasing with an emphasis on negotiations. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Business is preferred.
Our ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; internet software and email; and an in depth understanding of CSI cost codes and specifications as demonstrated by previous work experience. Candidates should also have an understanding of accounting ledger systems and coding.
