Position responsible for procurement of replacement Gas Turbine parts for gas turbines manufactured by OEM's including but not limited to General Electric and Westinghouse supporting customer orders worldwide.
> Participates in semi-complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users, getting prior approval for purchases in excess of established limits.
> Resolves semi-complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
> Participates in updating project plans and purchasing systems; reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases.
> Participates in the negotiation of prices, terms and quality requirements prepare; requests for quotes and assists in the development of new supply sources; evaluates market conditions.
> Solicits cost reduction ideas from suppliers and initiates follow up action to implement these savings for the company.
> Work with suppliers and operations team to maximize cash flow thru contract negotiation and integrated inventory planning
> Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
> Typically 2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
> Knowledge of turbine parts from hardware to castings and ability to read drawings
> Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and EPR Systems
> Operations, project management or field service experience in a fast paced environment
