I . Job Summary and Responsibilities (Listed in order of importance):

Assist with purchasing data extraction and analysis from SIC payables system and various procurement tools
Understand company’s internal requirements, research industry best practices and understand purchasing data in order to effectively develop a sourcing event
Identify potential vendors
Recommend sourcing strategy: RFP / RFI / RFQ / Pricing Auction
Develop and write all sourcing event documents
Responsible for all communication with incumbents and potential vendors
Conduct final vendor negotiations
Develop purchasing strategy recommendation post-sourcing event
Responsible for program roll out and implementation
Assist with contract business terms redlining

II. Education/Experience:
4-year college degree required
Strong experience with writing RFP’s
3+ years Purchasing experience for commodities, MRO, Capital Projects and Services

III. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to present data in a simplified/clear format
Must have the organizational skills necessary to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload to maximize productivity and efficiency
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Must possess the ability to operate in a dynamic and changing environment

IV. Physical Requirements:
Sitting or standing for long periods of time with sustained mental and visual concentration

V. Equipment/ Software Used:
Microsoft Office Products

VI. Work Environment:
Work is performed in a corporate office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
