Job Summary

  • Provide proactive procurement support to Operations and affiliated subsidiary companies with the primary objective of ensuring supply and value for required goods and services.
  • Coordinate and assist in the sourcing, contracting, and acquisition of required goods and services.
  • Develop analysis tools to evaluate cost comparisons as well as assist with the bid, evaluation, negotiation and award process.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and work in conjunction with Operations and Inventory Management stakeholders to ensure appropriate replenishment strategy is in place for inventoried items.
  • Prepare various reports relative to purchases, spend by category, supplier performance, status, inventory turnover, etc. and draw conclusions from the data in order to develop a go-forward plan.
  • Identify business process automation, policy, continuous improvement and standardization opportunities that reduce cost and increase productivity while maintaining/increasing quality, service and mitigating risk.


  • Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting E&P field operations in a similar role.
  • Must have a background in procurement, inventory management and sourcing programs and be competent in the ability to prepare a business case.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are critical, especially in fostering collaborative environments with Operations and the vendor community.
  • Strong oral/written communications.
  • Familiarity with Oracle R12 desired.
