Provide proactive procurement support to Operations and affiliated subsidiary companies with the primary objective of ensuring supply and value for required goods and services.
Coordinate and assist in the sourcing, contracting, and acquisition of required goods and services.
Develop analysis tools to evaluate cost comparisons as well as assist with the bid, evaluation, negotiation and award process.
Evaluate inventory levels and work in conjunction with Operations and Inventory Management stakeholders to ensure appropriate replenishment strategy is in place for inventoried items.
Prepare various reports relative to purchases, spend by category, supplier performance, status, inventory turnover, etc. and draw conclusions from the data in order to develop a go-forward plan.
Identify business process automation, policy, continuous improvement and standardization opportunities that reduce cost and increase productivity while maintaining/increasing quality, service and mitigating risk.
Experience and Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting E&P field operations in a similar role.
Must have a background in procurement, inventory management and sourcing programs and be competent in the ability to prepare a business case.
Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are critical, especially in fostering collaborative environments with Operations and the vendor community.
Strong oral/written communications.
Familiarity with Oracle R12 desired.
