Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate depth of knowledge and experience in:


Demonstrates project management skills and acts as a team leader as need arises (e.g., commodity teams, teams related to supplier selection, quality teams, value engineering design

teams, project teams).


Understands market, industry, competitor trends and uses data to influence marketing features, design for lowest cost, customer decisions and design for manufacturability to optimize overall business goals.


Defines and recommends alternatives on Materials, Purchasing and business/manufacturing issues related to cost, technology, contractual agreements, suppliers, (e.g., make vs buy decisions).


Articulates Materials/Commodity or high level project strategy.


Prepares total cost analysis, influences cost reduction, cost avoidance and quality improvement.


Manages high dollar commitment, low volume of transactions.


Demonstrates mastery of negotiation process. Prepares procurement strategies and articulates project plans.


Experience with implementing lean manufacturing, kaizen methodologies, kanban, and other replenishment strategies.


Able to make presentations to mid/upper level management and gain acceptance/approval of ideas/proposals.


Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration or scientific discipline and minimum of 5 years related business experience or equivalent business or industry experience.


ERP (Oracle 11i or 12)


MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)


Ability and willingness to travel as required up to 10%


Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, be flexible, take and follow directions, have good analytical skills, ability to organize data and information into a user friendly format, and have the ability to work independently in a team environment.

Preferred Requirements:

APICS Certification or equivalent preferred. Materials/Procurement Certification preferred.
