Product Management Department at Explorer Insurance is looking to add a Product Analyst to our team. Our team assists in managing insurance products to growth and profitability.

Our Product Analyst is a person who can assist in developing and implementing existing products in new states (markets) and new products in existing states or both.
·Using internal data, competitor data, and external data such as vehicle or demographic information, build and maintain a suite of management/operational reports intended to provide insights and information regarding the performance of various insurance products and programs
·Support the technical functions of product management including but not limited to rate analysis, competitive analysis, state filings, strategic marketing, product design, etc
·Assist in the development of rate programs and structures, development of underwriting rules, and actuarial indications.
·Understand the California insurance market and understand the sources of how to access the variety of data needed to effectively discharge this role.
·Aid in the development of a library of competitor information in order to closely monitor and analyze competitor changes.
Skills and Requirements include:
·Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in business or quantitative discipline, one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· One to three years of similar experience in a similar role with an auto insurer.
·California non-standard personal auto experience desirable
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to effectively communicate to varying audiences using siutation-appropriate methods, any vital process details, and finding in support of drawn conclusions.
