Eberspaecher Exhaust Technology of The Americas is a full-service Tier I automotive supplier, assuming complete responsibility for the conception, development and production of automotive exhaust systems. We began our North American operations in the year 2000. Currently we have six manufacturing sites, a state of the art Technical Center and over 900+ employees. As we forge ahead, building on our presence in North America, we are seeking a Development Engineer for our Novi facility.

Minimum Qualifications:
BSME from an accredited 4-year university 5 years experience with Exhaust System design/release Minimum of 2 years experience working with an Automotive Supplier as primary technical contact for customers. Experience with OEM vehicle development cycle from cradle to grave for at least 1 program Experience with DFMEA, ADVP&R, DFM/DFA, VA/VE Ability to read and interpret reports generated by analysis including CFD & FEA Leadership mentality/strong ability to lead a functional team and resolve conflicts. Working level knowledge of CAD systems (CATIA V5, Pro E, and/or Unigraphics NX)

Primary Tasks:
Design & release of complete exhaust systems with responsibility for full system performance to meet all Customer and Internal requirements Lead the product development team (Design/Analysis/Test) and interface with key ENA stakeholders (Manufacturing, Program Management, Purchasing, Quality) to develop a successful product which meets all Customer and Internal requirements Ensure timing gates are met 100% with complete and accurate product releases which support the Customer and Internal development cycle with appropriate prioritization of tasks and escalation of critical issues. Create and manage the DFMEA and ADVP&R plan and ensure timely execution to promote a successful product development and launch Maintain a relationship with the Customer Engineering group to ensure issues are addressed in a mutually beneficial manner, strongly representing ENA’s capabilities, and while identifying opportunities for ENA and the Customer Support Customer and Internal events onsite as needed to support meetings, launch activity, build events, testing, etc.
