Strategic Team Objectives

Our Infrastructure Product Management team will lead Hosting and IaaS product management for the portfolio of services. The Manager of Product Engineering will lead cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance the IaaS Management Console through the formulation of product requirements, integration of scale-out architectures, competitive analysis, and customer delivered feedback. The Product Engineering Manager will work closely with product managers, engineering development teams, third party vendors, consortiums and associations to leverage best practices for the our IaaS product development and management programs. The Product Engineering Manager will work with Product Managers and Technology teams to formulate detailed service descriptions, technical whitepapers, online customer training, and address IaaS Community technical customer inquiries. The Manager of Product Engineering will work with marketing teams to formulate Go To Market product programs to drive sales, develop service descriptions, whitepapers, and customer training content and webinars.
This position will report to the Director of our IaaS Product Mgmt, Development & Marketing.

Job Description

This individual will focus on core management console usability, technical product attributes and service integration capabilities for our IaaS to be used across the external developer and targeted user communities.

Position Objectives:
• Manage the IaaS management console features and development lifecycle for future product enhancements
• Develop management console design strategies and align with superior cloud service experience
• Provide strategic leadership and tactical agile product delivery on projects while collaborating with software development, engineering, sales, support, operations, and customers.
• Manage the success of assigned products and develop requirements for future product releases
• Support prioritization of requirements across product line(s) that exhibit close cohesions with customer experience, technical organizations, and blog communities of end users.
• Ability to manage multiple products simultaneously.
• Research competitors’ products, assesses competitive advantages and determine what technical product features and functionality will be built
• Play a proactive role in agile product management and scrum iterations
• Understands and ensure goals are met within the product and end-user IaaS user community
• Independently resolve issues and assist team with overcoming obstacles
• Able to matrix manage teams/personnel who do not directly report to product team.
• Leads product planning and feature design to ensure the product is meaningful for target market
• Provide input to business development team on strategic service supplier negotiation, terms, and product enhancement requirements

Essential duties:
• Involved throughout the entire lifecycle of the assigned products, working closely with software development, engineering, marketing, and product teams from product initiation to delivery and eventual product retirement
• Own the IaaS management console asset and product management product feature roadmap.
• Deliver regular live and recorded IaaS management console webinar trainings
• Maintain IaaS management console knowledgebase articles, customer 360 feedback loop, and trend analysis of customer use.
• Serve as single point of contact for the product offering and interface with all stakeholder support organizations related to requirements, development, operations, and customer support.
• High level of energy as well as strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and interest in creating new service models
• Understand and stay current with industry trends, open source technologies, and IaaS Cloud computing models
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and quickly gain respect among subject matter experts within the company.
• Responsible for meeting the specified monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.
• Responsible for updating management on progress and elevate any issues that need assistance with resolution.
Required skills:
• BS/BA or equivalent required; MS/MBA a plus.
• 8+ years of related technology management, product management, agile development experience.
• 5+ years of experience relating to Cloud Computing, Dedicated Hosting, Complex and Custom Services, Virtualization, High Performance Computing, Data warehouse, Storage, and Consulting
• Up to 50% of travel.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving product management success.
• Excellent communication skills to include: verbal, written and presentation.
• Entrepreneurial drive.
• Energy, integrity, and strong work ethic.
