Product Manager, Advertising Products and Services

As product manager for advertising products and services, you will be responsible for leading the next decade of product innovation for TiVo’s interactive advertising business.

Here’s what you get to do:
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to optimize existing advertising products and services, and the tools and operational procedures used to deploy and manage them

Define and manage the roadmap for advertising products and services, including enhancements to legacy products (e.g. TiVo Showcases) and new services such as (but not limited to) TV commerce; contextual, personal, and behavioral targeting; and cross-platform syndication

Define and manage the roadmap for native advertising tools and/or 3rd party integration, services, policies, and operational support

Identify operational inefficiencies within partner client interactions with TiVo and develop solutions to eliminate those inefficiencies

Develop opportunities for merging or syndicating TiVo’s interactive television advertising products and services with browser- and mobile-based advertising products and networks

Optimize and streamline the toolsets, APIs, and ingestion processes used to produce advertising campaigns

Define the toolsets and processes for campaign management and performance reporting, in conjunction with TiVo’s audience research measurement and analytics teams

Engage with TiVo’s partner management teams to work with cable and satellite operators to develop the next generation of advertising products and services for their networks and VOD platforms

Partner with other product managers, engineering, program management, and other functions to deliver new products and services to market; and ensure ongoing operational success

Build strong relationships with external publishers, ad networks, technology partners, to develop new revenue-bearing partnership opportunities

Engage with internal and external stakeholders and TiVo’s research team to understand key new trends and customer segments, new technologies and ad revenue generation tools (digital media, Interactive TV, mobile marketing, VOD etc.,) and feed those into the new product development process

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
Strategic vision, self-starter, leader, high energy level, excellent communication skills

Strong understanding of online advertising industry and/or interactive TV advertising; expert knowledge of ad operations, ad serving, and targeting methodologies

3-5 years product management experience; previous experience working with or at a major online advertising network and/or portal or advertiser

Strong analytical skills in both establishing business / financial / operational goals, and measuring and analyzing performance

Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills; TiVo expects product managers to be able to prepare, present and defend business justifications to senior members of the executive team

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to demonstrate capability to manage multiple projects and to prioritize activities for optimal results

Strong team orientation and a track record of working collaboratively with internal and external team members in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor’s degree required (must have a technical undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate technical capabilities with job experience)

MBA preferred, or representative experience of equal value
