Product Manager, Television Measurement Products

We are currently seeking a Product Manager to add to our growing company of talented Television Audience Measurement team members.
The Product Manager is responsible for supporting, maintaining and providing strategic direction in extending our Linear Television product offerings. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to build and/or maintain solid relationships within the organization as well as in the industry. The Product Manager must coordinate closely with the Sales, IT and Research teams to evolve the Linear Television products and to formulate and meet long-term goals. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the Product and Marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager is the voice of the client within the Rentrak organization.
The Product Manager is expected to manage the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, meeting with clients and prospects, defining the product vision, and working closely with IT to deliver winning products.
This position involves close interaction with development leads, product architects, Sales, and key customers. A strong technical background is a plus. Job duties include gathering requirements from existing and potential customers as well as recent evaluators, writing market requirements documents or Agile product backlogs, and monitoring the implementation of new features. In addition, the Product Manager will monitor and incorporate industry innovations and maintain a status dashboard for all portfolio products, as well as keep current on competitive threats and related industry news.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager or related position. Also,
- Five plus years of experience in media research
- Demonstrated success defining and launching successful products
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Knowledge of Technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team work skills
- Travel as needed
