This would involve defining the product strategy, determining end-of-life for legacy platforms and managing channel and technology relationships to extend our forecourt presence in global markets. This person will also define and own the product road map for connectivity/applications related to our Fusion platform that will be sold either directly or through channel partners (VARs). Essential Responsibilities
Ongoing product line management for POS portfolio including defining EOL strategy for global legacy platforms, pricing changes and introduction of new features / updates to the product mix

Manage product life cycle and provide key input to the development of the strategic plan and product road map for global POS products

Define / own the product road map for connectivity / applications related to Fusion that will be sold either directly or through channel partners (VARs)

Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) market research; correlate VOC output to define product specifications

Identify product opportunities for future consideration and prioritize them for development, partnership and/or acquisition

Own / deliver key financial product line parameters including margins, standard costs and warranty, sales forecast, engineering capacity planning, etc.

Qualify and drive contract negotiations with channel and technology partners

Management of channel partner business plans, including project / program business cases

Monitor market trends, regulatory drivers and competitive threats

Interface with regional marketing teams on developing / executing product launch plans

Establish a promotional plan for all products including collateral material, advertising and trade show activities Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree

A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in product management, focused on technology products and services

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in developing partner programs for technology products or in retail information technology industry

Eligibility Requirements:
Willingness to travel (up to 50% of time) Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Engineering Degree with marketing experience or Marketing Degree with technical sales / product management experience

Experience driving industry standards and participation in standards bodies

Experience with commercial aspects of third partner partnerships and certifications

Proven track record of building long-standing relationships with POS partners and knowledge of features / functionality set of POS systems

Experience in the forecourt control and payments processing technology industry is a strong plus

Firm understanding of open technology products and applications (TCP / IP, Windows, etc.)

Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and comfortable speaking before groups

Ability to work in fast-paced team environment
