Teradata is seeking a well-rounded candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in product management of technology products to manage the product lifecycle (product release concept definition, development phase, product launch, post-launch, and end of life management) of Teradata hardware and OEM product offerings.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Work with and support Senior Product Managers and Engineers in the design, development, manufacture, and fulfillment of new hardware systems.
Work with and support Senior Product Managers and Engineers in developing new offerings including pricing, supply chains, support, and technical education.
Support the Teradata product realization process (PRP) required to develop and release initial and follow on product releases.
Manage a variety of release deliverables and coordinate not only within Teradata R&D but also with other organizations like global learning, customer support, regional deployment, marketing, and business operations. Support the creation and publication of deliverables required to release hardware and software.
Help manage and deploy OEM partner solutions as well as internally developed solutions.
Coordinate customer, competitive, ROI analysis, and market research activities to drive priorities and requirements in order to define differentiated product feature offerings throughout the product development process.
Write specifications and use cases for communicating requirements within the Teradata R&D organization.
Build strong relationships with key product group leaders and develop a framework for translating and communicating roadmap and lifecycle requirements for all the relevant parties.
Work directly with key customers to gather requirements. Present at customer-facing events, Industry events and user conferences in the role of a subject matter expert.

US Permanent Residence
5+ years of experience in hardware product management or related technology area
Knowledge of hardware platforms, operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), CPUs, disks, and other relevant enterprise components
Excellent project management skills with strong analytical and business acumen
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to management, team members as well as non-technical audiences
Cross organization collaboration including strong facilitation and consensus building skills
Experience with use cases, functional requirements, and specifications. Ability to write clear market-driven product requirements
MS/MA in business, engineering, computer science or related discipline
Demonstrated understanding of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Warehouse Appliance markets, preferably experience with the Teradata product set
Experience managing hardware development and support life cycles
Good hardware technical expertise
Experience with Teradata’s PRP processes or Integrated Product Development (IPD) in other corporations
