The Product Manager - Loyalty & Promotions is responsible for the definition, creation, implementation and management of customer loyalty and promotion projects/programs that support the McKesson Specialty Health Generics department.

The Product Manager acts as the loyalty and promotions champion, and is able to:
evangelize the product portfolio vision effectively to senior stakeholders;
independently translate business strategies into product offerings, roadmaps and specifications; plan and implement monthly campaigns and promotions;
co-manage and drive a world class inside sales organization to achieve and exceed sales, gross profit, and wallet share targets; develop, communicate, and drive the implementation of plans and strategies for increasing sales and wallet share, while meeting or exceeding gross margin goals; ensure McKesson delivers an exceptional customer experience.

You will be responsible for executing on current loyalty programs, and developing new loyalty and promotion offerings. Specifically, you will be working with key stakeholders, account executives and internal business partners (e.g., Sales, Sourcing, Marketing, SAP Development, Lynx Mobile Development, and Financial Planning & Analysis, Pricing, and Customer Service) to create, implement, manage, and track all customer loyalty related projects, including (but not limited to) Generics Customer Loyalty and Generics Monthly Promotions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, analytical, detail and results oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic. S/he is a highly motivated self-starter, and possesses the confidence and knowledge to successfully own the product. S/he is an excellent communicator and builds strong cross functional relationships. Experience in product development and customer loyalty is preferred.
Product and Campaign Development
Develop and champion a product vision, strategy and roadmap in support of corporate goals and objectives.
Use market research, customer feedback, customer history and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
Standardize approach to drive monthly Generics campaign development
Work with Product Development Director to develop an organizational structure to support outbound telesales campaigns.
Implement processes, best practices, reporting tools and technology to drive efficiencies and achieve optimal results.
Develop and implement strategies to improve telesales campaign metrics to maximize profitability, including penetration and conversion rates, call quality, productivity, cost per call and resource utilization.
Develop a comprehensive inside sales training program focused on best practices to drive profitable growth.

Product Offering Discovery and Definition
Own and drive the product discovery/definition process.
Document, prioritize and communicate detailed product specifications (e.g., business requirements & rules, functional requirements, use cases, prototypes as applicable).
Design detailed processes to clarify workflows, dependancies (functional, system), roles and responsibilities.
Develop and execute user acceptance test plans and scenarios.
Manage key dependencies and secure necessary engagement / resource alignment for the development of product features.

Campaign Execution, Generics Monthly Promotion & New Product Launches
Engage frequently with IT and other department teams to coordinate and manage the successful delivery of loyalty and promotion products to customers; be available to quickly answer questions that arise during implementation.
Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that operational processes dependant on the feature(s) successfully complete acceptance testing.
Build monthly promotion and new product launch (as appropriate) campaigns in cooperation with key business and IT stakeholders.
Communicate to customers all Generics product launches
Manage the development and maintenance of training materials and train users on new program features and benefits
Support adoption, analyze and report on loyalty trends and promotion results.
Track and report key success/operational campaign and promotional metrics.
Gather customer feedback to continually enhance program.
Demonstrated experience in building and measuring success of customer loyalty programs and promotions
Demonstrated success defining and implementing products / programs on-time, and within budget
Proven ability to facilitate and drive all aspects of product development: idea generation, requirements gathering/definition, business case development, design, construction, testing, pilot, operationalize, training/communication, success measurement and reporting.
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a matrixed organization
Proven ability to work in a fast paced, and dynamic environment

3-5 years product/program management, product marketing, project management, and management consulting

Strong project management skills with progressive experience in managing large scale projects and/or process improvement initiatives
Exceptional analytical skills including quantitative and process analysis
Knowledge of customer loyalty program design and measurement

Bachelors degree required preferably in Business or Engineering/ MBA also preferred
Demonstrated experience in customer loyalty or promotions is desireable
Proficient use of MS Office product suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio)
Salesforce.com, database (e.g., SQL), and Tableau reporting experience/skills highly preferred
Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry is desirable
Knowledge of SAP BW is desirable
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to influence at multiple levels
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
