DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for researching and closely managing the product lifecycle of Slot Games and Participation titles and closely coordinating among Research & Development (Engineering and Game Development), Sales, Marketing, Service and Compliance departments. This includes working directly with Director, Product Management to develop product plans to meet target markets and sales forecasts.

This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company polices and procedures.

DUTIES

  • Work closely with internal and external resources to identify new product opportunities and gaps in product functionality as well as to assign priority to key new product ideas.
  • Drive product definitions/requirements/recommendations, which translate and balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities into features and enhancements.
  • Define product specifications, establish milestones and report on the development and implementation against goals.
  • Researches, analyzes, and communicates game product requirements pertaining to gaming devices and industry regulators. This includes communication to R&D related to market demands, market issues, and localization or product requirements. This includes reviewing and making recommendations on all proposed game concepts and math models
  • Communicate product status, key issues and launch plans to key constituents across the organization including R&D, sales, marketing, production, compliance and service support teams.
  • Point of contact for all 3rd party vendors related to progressives, signs, chairs etc., on the release of new products. Creates RFPs for outsources products, as necessary.
  • Responds to and assists with Games related RFPs and RFIs from customers.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and measure product performance to identify key areas of improvement.
  • Work with the marketing communications and sales team to define and manage product launch including: positioning and market segmentation, messaging, pricing, required marketing communications/promotion, sales strategy, customer training and support.
  • Interface with marketing communications and sales to guide the creation product literature, white papers, technical presentations, and sales tools.
  • Manage existing products on an ongoing basis, including product line extensions and enhancements, prioritization, forecasting, and related activities.
  • Participates in customer presentations as the product expert and answers detailed questions as needed.
  • Travels as required to casino sites, customer locations, and trade shows.
  • Assists in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Plans, promotes, and executes special product management projects.
  • Conducts market research by reviewing analysis of surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.
  • Coordinates or oversees Konami Gaming product portion of website for external and internal reference
  • Compiles sales manuals containing information on machine specifications, link settings, and other information to assist sales staff to be more efficient in the field.
  • Collects data and compiles reports, as necessary for executive staff.
  • Reports to senior management any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or higher in Hotel/Hospitality, Business, Engineering, Technical Arts or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience in gaming industry.

A minimum of five to seven years of related experience with at least two to three in a management role. Casino management experience desirable; product management, product marketing and/or slot floor understanding and technical certification preferred.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Computer proficiency in MS Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, and Access.
