Online Travel/Emerging Businesses Group of is seeking a Product Manager to develop great online travel products that meet customer needs with an emphasis on delivering an extremely user friendly consumer experience. The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product features and functionality in an experiential framework while balancing a range of business priorities. They will also need to evaluate and communicate financial impacts of potential product features. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the development and management of web-based products and services. The Product Manager must have a blend of business and technical savvy and be comfortable working directly with sales, marketing, design and technical engineering teams.

Deliver great products/features/experiences that consumers simply love. Customer satisfaction, retention, revenue growth, operational efficiency and new ideas are your goals.

Consumer Wiz – You understand UI. You get consumer wants and needs. You can build a top site that sparks consumers’ imagination, whisks them away to glamorous locations and then excites them to purchase and tell their friends about us.

Idea Generation – Understand internet trends, use your excellent product sense and consumer “get-it” skills, be opinionated, and watch the competitive landscape so that you’re someone who puts out provocative ideas to grow our business – then have the leadership skills to marshal an investment in them (and the maturity to understand when an idea falls flat.)

Get Your Hands Dirty – Ivory tower residents need not apply. We’re looking for entrepreneurial people who can make it happen. That means you get in there and apply good, old fashioned elbow grease to those great ideas – that’s how world class product is made. You’re writing user stories and specs, leading product design sessions, digging into numbers to determine what’s working for consumers and much more.

Quant Jock – Business models? Funnel optimization test plans and outcome assessment? Traffic analysis? You eat those for breakfast.

Leadership – Product management means inspiring a team to build a great product, finding ways to hit deadlines, signing up for financial targets and making them work, filling in all the little things in a project with effort and efficiency, and making sure the team has a great time along the way. Job Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience; M.B.A. preferred

3-5 years product management experience at a consumer Internet or mobile company

Knowledge of:
Internet business models

Product development lifecycle

Information and interaction design

Agile and scrum development methodologies

Search engine optimization


Web analytics

A/B and multivariate testing

Desired knowledge of:
Online travel industry

Online advertising trends and practices

Social media and marketing

Usability testing

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage and develop various products at different stages

Proven ability to prioritize the needs of multiple initiatives and to manage work to meet critical deadlines

Excellent communication skills; able to discuss, listen, defend and persuade

Hungry, whip smart “do’er”

Determined to make great products and have fun doing it
