Execute tactical and strategic marketing activities under limited supervision
  • Assist in developing and coordinating implementation of annual short- and long-term marketing and strategic plans and programs for assigned product line
  • Manage development process and communicated to senior management on a variety of processes and technical issues
  • Determine priority and extent of advertising and promotional programs for each product and assist in development and implementation of programs
  • Prepare annual and long-term demand forecasts by product
  • Analyze performance of each product in terms of profitability, volume contribution to product line and its potential
  • Recommend product discontinuance where applicable, or more emphasis through marketing programs
  • Determine market potential by product, branch and distributor in join consideration with market research, branch managers and others
  • Maintain continuous contact with trade groups, branches, engineering, etc. in the development of new product ideas
  • Recommend revision to existing products or new products based on studies to obtain justification for their introduction
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to increase product margins
  • Maintain awareness of legislation, trade group agreements, federal, state, and local codes affecting marketing or products

  • Qualifications:
    • BS/BA - Marketing or related; MBA/MS preferred
    • 4-6 years experience in sales, marketing, channel management, and/or product development
    • Supervisory or coaching experience preferred
    • Minimum 1 year P&L and/or budgeting experience required
