Riparian Data is reinventing the way we interact with email on our phones. A key part of that reinvention: a mobile experience that is as intuitive and efficient as it is dramatically different from extant apps. Which is where you come in, dear applicant. Our engineering team is versed in Meteor, javascript, mongodb, classification algorithms, and HTML5, and now we seek someone who can lead us spear-first into the land of native apps.

Naturally, this leader must speak fluent Objective C and have ace interface development skills. Equally imperative: a willingness to engage in sleeves-up collaboration and the ability to voice your opinions.

What’s the job like?

In five words: brainstorm, build, analyze, revise, repeat. Every week, the development team decides on the next block of functionality to be implemented, based on user feedback, customer requests, and infrastructural requirements. When new functionality is completed, it is immediately deployed, so that customers always have access to the latest features.

Every day you will be working alongside a team of creative and innovative developers, whether it is to discuss how to attack challenging new problems, to flesh out an idea you have for a project, or to relax around a foosball table. If you come aboard, we’ll expect you to regularly complete personal development projects, whether in the form of courses, conferences, or hackathons. We’re also big on team development (retreats, game nights, lunch crews) and community engagement (meetups and charity drives).
