The role: Product Marketing Manager, Ads Products Small Business Marketing
As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.

We want to help small businesses owners become even more successful with their business - from getting online, to running their business, to getting more customers. As a Product Marketing Manager for the SMB Marketing team, you would be responsible for scaling the strategy and execution of various marketing campaigns across the advertiser base and across global markets to help them grow their business with AdWords. Example of campaigns you will be part of include new â€˜Hyper-targeted platformâ€™, from which we will launch all of our SMB-focused personalized communications in the future, and â€˜Performance reporting platformâ€™ that provides advertisers with account performance and improvement information through various communication channels including email, direct mail, mobile application, and customized website. Concurrently you will be responsible for continuing to launch and optimize our core email campaigns. You would need to be an exceptional strategic thinker, who is very savvy about AdWords/Google Business products, SMB customers, and how they think about AdWords/Google Business products in relation to their business.
Work with the wider Small Business Marketing team, as well as the cross-functional team including Sales and Product to develop and execute complex direct marketing campaigns (includes campaign prioritization, localization strategy, copy and design review, campaign execution).
Manage our third-party agency and the logistics behind developing, executing, and rolling out new campaigns globally.
Collaborate with Global SMB Revenue team to identify campaign opportunities, gather necessary advertiser data, and report on campaign performance (including engagement, adoption and revenue uplift)
Work closely with the product team developing our internal direct marketing tool to ensure it meets campaign requirements
Leverage exceptional cross-group collaboration skills across multiple time zones, and multiple stakeholders to gain commitment and support for projects and initiatives.
BA or BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience)
Experience with agencies.
2 years of experience in a related field.
Experience with global email marketing campaigns
Solid understanding of the small business customer profile, as well as Google Business Products.
Demonstrated capacity to roll out complex, data-driven marketing campaigns.
Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills, including both professional and casual style of communication.
Ability to think strategically, execute effectively, and deliver high quality work against aggressive deadlines.
