Join Grovo as the cornerstone of our Product Marketing team and help shape the voice of our product and brand. You will be responsible for:
1) Owning the product life-cycle from a marketing perspective - know why we are building a feature, how it improves our product & for whom, and how to position it
2) Understanding the multiple product marketing variables of a freemium business with consumer, small business and enterprise users in more than 140 countries
3) Developing, communicating and implementing a multi-dimensional product marketing framework that accommodates those variables
4) Working closely with Product/Design, Social Media, SEO and Performance Marketing teams to communicate the unique personality of Grovo, deliver value to our users and drive user growth and revenue
It’s a critical role and reports to our Director of Product, Ajay Rajani.
Build, execute and iterate on a product marketing methodology that accommodates the multiple dimensions of Grovo’s user experience and the diversity of its user base Lead revamp of logged-in and logged-out messaging on Grovo Own and advance messaging in a variety of triggered and lifecycle email marketing Work closely with SEO and Performance Marketing teams to drive user growth, revenue and other conversion-related milestones Work with in-house Content team to shape release roadmap, message and market release of new custom-created video content Work with Social Media and Community managers to communicate key product releases, progress and milestones through social channels and to power users Create content (e.g. blog posts, video and non-video testimonials) to help articulate the unique value of Grovo and its brand Track key engagement metrics and identify opportunities for improvement, modification, expansion and retraction of product features and/or messaging Monitor, track, compile, and deliver weekly and ad hoc email campaign reports in conjunction with Performance Marketing team and Lifecycle Marketing Analyst in particular Conceptualize, drive, write and manage implementation of marketing programs and campaigns that evangelize our brand and drive user growth Keep eye on, and routinely communicate, best practices and trends in consumer-facing product marketing, creative advertising and ed-tech to relevant stakeholders Assist Director of Product in external market research and analysis – focused on developing competitive insight and feature analysis
2+ years experience in product marketing, copywriting or social media at a consumer-facing startup, advertising agency with focus on new/digital media, tech-focused publication, or leading education company Self-starter with excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise and playful fashion Active presence on Twitter, blog or other social media Voracious appetite for trying, using and dissecting web and mobile apps. Must love tech Experience and comfort working in data-driven organizations Out-of-the-box thinking, with the ability to derive insights, create strategies and turn them into concrete tactical plans quickly Ability to convey a clear course and sense of direction and prioritize amongst many competing demands to ensure that short-term goals supporting long-term initiatives are achieved with an appropriate sense of urgency Excellent management and team leadership skills Strong teamwork and ability to collaborate well with many stakeholders Located in NYC or willing to move for the right opportunity (preferred) Demonstrated passion for educating others (preferred) Demonstrated creative side (preferred) Love the web, mobile and technology (personal) Grow a product that helps people and adds value (personal) Self aware with integrity (personal) Thrive in a fast-paced environment (personal) Confident and fun (personal)
