Online video advertising is a $4.56B market (source: eMarketer) and YuMe is uniquely positioned in this space with its turnkey video ad platform and ad network. As a Product Marketing Manager you have the opportunity to help strengthen YuMe platform’s leadership position by becoming an expert on market trends, turning that into product strategy, and launching products to the market. All of this is done by collaborating with cross-functional teams: Business Development, Product Management, Corporate Marketing, Finance, Senior Management. Reporting to the VP of Platform Product Marketing, you will be encouraged and empowered to do all of the above.

Responsibilities

International Focus. Communicate with international BD teams (esp. Europe) throughout product marketing cycle: from market research and competitive analysis to product launches, content generation, and training relying heavily on online and phone mediums

Market Research. Stay on top of ad tech, media, and general technology trends; translate them into POVs, share with product and business teams, devise ways to assimilate trends internally

Competitive Analysis. Perform continual assessment of competitive landscape, develop and refine competitive positioning

Market Requirements. Develop strong business cases for new products initiatives with detailed market requirement documents (MRDs) and handoff to product management

Go-To-Market. Craft detailed launch plans including messaging, pitch, packaging, pricing. Collaborate with corporate marketing on launching to press, analysts, customers, prospects

Product & Partner Collateral. Author product datasheets, website copy, whitepapers, videos articulating use cases and business benefits

Sales Empowerment. Conduct continual training of sales team with help of a variety of sales tools: PPT pitches, product fact sheets, cases studies

Thought Leadership. Drive continued thought leadership as a YuMe advocate with pitches and messaging for tradeshow speaking and sponsorship, blog posts, webinars

Lead Generation. Collaborate with corporate marketing on identifying the best programs for lead gen and lead nurturing, supporting execution of programs and handing off leads to sales

Product Adoption. Define, refine, and monitor product KPIs. Work with account and product management to help increase product adoption and usage rates

Qualifications

BA/BS degree. MBA preferred

5 years of experience in software product marketing / product management

At least 2 years in digital advertising / video technology / ad agency space. Experience with an ad tech company, a big advantage

Knowledge of ad tech landscape and basic understanding of APIs, SDK, HTML, JavaScript, VAST

Must have passion for digital media, streaming video, advertising, and mobile/CTV apps

Exceptional writing, communication, and public speaking skills

Uncanny ability to synthesize technical features into easy-to-understand business benefits

Strong record of planning and launching new products to global sales teams and markets

Data-driven, results-oriented, go getter who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels

Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects

Ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and drives projects to completion with minimal supervision
