DESCRIPTION

Summary:
The Product Portfolio Manager manages existing voice and data product family as well as establishes new market footprints. In this role, the Product Portfolio Manager conducts margin
analysis, analyzes data provided by Marketing, Engineering, Margin Assurance and in-life performance measurement to determine product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability. The Product Portfolio Manager will manage and monitor costs associated with their portfolio.
The Manager leads regularly scheduled meetings centered on IT system and operational requirements for product lifecycle changes, including grandfathering, product exits, and new product development within their portfolio. They will develop pricing, pricing changes, discounts and manages tariff updates in partnership with Legal & Regulatory. The Manager is responsible for having complete knowledge of the costs and margin of their product line in order to validate and analyze special requests generate by customer opportunities.

DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)

Manages in-life product performance: sales, margin, and churn, conducting extensive numerical analysis using company data.
Identifies and presents innovative and creative product solutions.
Project management of all product launches/changes throughout implementation.
Identifies the business and operational requirements based upon the business requirements & objectives of each product.
Displays a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products.
Coordinates and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; IT, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, & Operations.
Leads the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
Develops & conducts specialized training on new products launched and raise awareness & application of relevant subject matter.
Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post product launch/changes.
Provide support for other departmental projects as needed.
Participate in opportunities to develop both personally and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business, communications, finance or marketing
Two to five years product management/development in telecommunications experience preferred.
Two to five years of spreadsheet-based numerical analysis
Two to five years computer experience (internet, windows, database, etc.....)
Experience in strategic planning, and pricing implementation preferred.
