This position is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of test solutions for verifying software and software features. Works as the technical interface between internal teams and the customer to accurately communicate information related to product test. Reviews and interprets technical documents and specifications. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience, Masters degree a plus
  • 5+ years experience with CDMA systems and knowledge of standards
  • Experience with various software features and Wireless Communications Systems
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to execute detailed instructions and procedures
  • Ability to write test strategy, test plan, and test cases with pass/fail criteria
  • Experience in formal test, especially test planning, is required
  • Knowledge of test equipment, telecommunications systems, and data communication layers are preferred
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of C, C++ or PERL based scripting techniques
  • Software development cycle and test process experience preferred
  • Position will require 50-60% travel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides front-line technical support for product test related issues
  • Researches new technologies and features that software and system engineers are developing and creates test plans, test outlines and test cases for verification
  • Provides detailed and timely reports to cross-functional teams in multiple locations
  • Gathers and analyzes detailed information to create test strategies targeted for hard-to-reproduce issues
