Product Writer (Technical)
We’re looking for an experienced writer / content strategist to help us make Pinterest’s business, partner and developer writing the best in their class. The right person will be a technically inclined writer who can communicate tricky concepts in a clear, simple, human way. You should be skilled at finding just the right voice and tone. Bonus points if you can create systems to help your coworkers be more efficient.
You’ll work across a handful of Pinterest domains (ex: developer, partner and business sites). You’ll write, plan, manage, edit, internationalize and own all sorts of writing—from product education to SDKs to blog posts. You’ll need to relish a good, meaty communication challenge.
You’ll help us write and edit our developer documentation—and make it just as simple and human as all the other writing on Pinterest. You’ll need to have an opinion on what makes good & bad documentation and a knack for translating Technicalese into English.
You’ll work with your fellow writers and the creative team to help create the first ever Pinterest style guide. You’ll need to have experience with basic editorial strategy, content planning and style guides.
You should be a big pinner with 3+ years of technical writing or content strategy experience. You should have exposure to programming and be comfortable writing both for a developer and non-developer audience. Please include a portfolio with your application.
This a full-time position in San Francisco. The technical writer reports to the writing manager on the creative team.
