General Summary: Under the direction of the manager, Technical Information, run periodic and ad-hoc requests for account data, account statuses and statistical information. Collect and analyze statistical and workflow data related to production standards and productivity. Compile and maintain current and historical statistical data. Report data to management and identify for management improvements in production processes and methods that ensure quality service to members and retirees. Conduct periodic audits of system accesses. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Run periodic and ad-hoc requests for account data, account statuses and statistical information as requested by management using system query software. Provide results to management in the requested formats and timeframes using MS Excel and PowerPivot Investigate, resolve, and test help desk tickets as assigned. Provide technical support to the supervisors and team members in Benefits Administration. Collect processing statistics from all processing teams regarding work-on-hand, turnaround times, productivity and accuracy; analyze data and submit results to management monthly. Compile statistics on staffing hours and part-time, temporary and overtime usage. Provide management statistical data with written analysis to establish production standards. Monitor turnaround times according to standards. Prepare regular and ad-hoc management production reports and spreadsheets as directed. Work with management, supervisors and staff to identify key statistics and develop efficient means for capturing and tracking stats. Develop and test new statistical and production reports from the pension processing and workflow systems. Organize and maintain current and historical processing statistics, procedures and process maps within the STRS Ohio computer network in a location and format that is easily retrievable; document and maintain historical files of changes. Conduct time and motion studies for business processes as requested. Maintain and conduct periodic audits of system accesses including line-of-business screens and workflow groups. Maintain periodic hard copy and electronic statistical reports received from the pension processing and workflow systems. Serve as point-of-contact for requesting system access for Benefits Administration staff; complete and forward appropriate access request forms to the ITS Service Desk or management as appropriate. 14. Maintain written procedures for gathering, compiling and reporting statistical data
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelors degree in business, accounting or related field preferred; one to three years experience in statistical analysis may substitute for the degree. Three or more years STRS Ohio processing experience or equivalent experience in a processing or production environment required. Experience in business system analysis preferred. Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPivot. Excellent mathematical, analytical and computer navigation skills required. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to use mainframe, workflow and other specialized software programs required. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Sustained periods of concentration, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required. Ability to work independently and within tight time constraints. Ability to work well under minimum direct supervision. Excellent work record of attendance and punctuality; occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours required.
