Production Analyst – Cortland, NY
The Production Analyst will analyse SAP Material Movement, Job closures, manufacturing variances including identification, investigation, root cause analysis, counter measure development and solutions, tracking and analysis of production labor time and attendance, productivity reporting, scrap reporting, non-conformance reporting for Production Operations.
SAP Material Movement– Support and drive timely transactions in production department for material transfers and orders. Reviews daily the material usage and transactions for accuracy and identifies questions upward no later than 24 hours after movement.
SAP Job Closures (COGI Errors / TECO’s) – Process SAP Transactions and assist each department in staying up to date on transactions. Identifies, investigates and leads closure of any errors in the system no later than 24 hours after job completion.
Manufacturing Variance Identification and Investigation – Works closely with accounting as jobs are closed to immediately identify variances and helps drive back to appropriate department for review, root cause, and counter-measure tracking. Tracks commentary and provides inputs to the end of the period statement preparation process no later than 72 hours after job completion.
Production Labor Time Approvals / Tracking / Analysis – Acts as the facility Kronos expert. Assists in labor time approvals and teaches supervisors and managers “how to” operate and optimize use of Kronos to minimize leadership time spent vs. working on floor and in production. Serves as “back-up” approval authority, when requested and approved, in advance by Plant Manager.
Productivity Reporting – Develops and assists in the production of productivity and labor efficiency tracking reports as requested. Develops standard work for each area as necessary.
Scrap Reporting – Develops and assists in the production of scrap tracking reports as requested. Develops standard work for each area as necessary.
Assist in the NCR Process – Tracks and assists in the investigation and documentation of root cause, counter-measures, closure of Non Conformance Reports no later than 1 week from open date.
Associates degree (Bachelors degree preferred) in accounting, business, or management.
5+ years experience in production analysis with a fundamental understanding of material movements/usage, manufacturing costs and variances, and productivity reporting.
Proven experience using SAP / BI, Kronos, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Demonstrated experience working in global cross functional teams including multiple geographies including support and business interactions with all levels of an organization.
Experience with DSI / Labor tracking, Access DataBase, OSHA reporting, and Behavioral-Based Safety Training preferred.
