BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for San Diego's Scientific community. We are currently looking for Production Chemists to work for a leading San Diego biotechnology company.
Production Chemist (multiple openings)
Under close supervision by senior staff, the scope of this position is responsible for a variety of production functions involving the operation of lab equipment and conduct of procedures/tasks according to established QSR and FDA guidelines.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Carry out production tasks in support of manufacturing goals and objectives.
Operate laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices.
Maintain records and notebooks as directed in a neat, thorough and accurate manner. Perform required data entry on company planning and materials management system. Report results to supervisor.
Maintain a neat and organized workplace. Ensure materials are appropriately labeled, approved for use and in sufficient quantity to complete required tasks.
Participate in document revisions to ensure accurate BOM's and process descriptions.
Follow all safety guidelines, manufacturing policies and procedures. Operate under strict QSR compliance.
Perform complex formulations, component and material evaluations, equipment calibrations and maintenance.
Knowledgeable of federal and other regulations, e.g. QSRâ€™s, ISO, ISO 13485, CMDR
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companyâ€™s policies and practices.
Preferred educational background:
BA or BS in Chemistry or Biological Sciences.
Preferred experiential background:
One to Five years experience. Must have GMP experience!! Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain accurate records and notes, and carry out assignments in a thorough, conscientious fashion while adhering to safe laboratory practices. Knowledge of a variety of lab equipment and their operation is preferred.
