The Houston Service center is the global center of excellence for the repair and overhaul of GE Aero LM2500 LM5000 LM6000 & LMS100 engines. Over 150 engines and modules respectively are processed through the facility annually, supporting a diverse, global customer base. The Production Control Leader will report to the Service Center Leader and will be responsible for production control leadership toward the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance.
In addition, you will:
Be fully responsible for developing and leading the Houston Service Center Production Control department structure and organizational growth
Drive world-class production capacity planning, scheduling, as well as coordination and execution of engine and module repairs for the Houston Service Center by developing and implementing state of the art digital scheduling and capacity planning tools
Work closely with shop operations and materials fulfillment teams to meet delivery targets in respect to material accumulation and delivery to the production floor
Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) improvement initiatives as well as inventory and Work in Progress (WIP) targets
Have full ownership of the Houston Service Center induction schedule, master schedule and daily production meetings
Ensure operational excellence through all service center phases of engine overhaul and repair cycles
Manage all production metrics that include Turn Around Time (TAT), Variance to Want (VTW), timely engine hardware roll dates
Meet customer schedules effectively through advanced planning and ability to imagine, develop, and drive team solutions to meet deadlines
Develop, monitor and drive tactical and strategic initiatives / projects
Drive continuous improvement into every aspect of the production and materials processes utilizing Lean Six Sigma
Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and outside suppliers
Make Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality part of team every day work
Comply, promote and generally advance the site EHS & Quality Policies in all daily transactions with and for employees, customers, suppliers and community
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Technical discipline from accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of Aero Engine experience in technical service center in a materials management or production control function
Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE Employees only)

Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadline
Master Black Belt and/or Lean Six Sigma certification (GE Employees only)
Master's Degree in Business Administration or American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification
