A Production Engineer is responsible for p erforming production activities for front-end and back-end utilities by creating and delivering files and documents to clients and print vendors in a timely fashion according to internal processing requirements and client SLA’s; as well as acting as a key contributor on implementation enhancements and new development projects.

Essential Duties and Tasks include but are not limited to:
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly production runs. Specific activities include production monitoring, troubleshooting, and file processing where required.
P erforms tri-annual production run tasks including modifying implementations according to new business rules, producing files, and/or scripts, and monitoring processes.
Performs other ad-hoc production tasks such as modifying scripts and/or websites, building new files, etc as needed
Key contributor in re-engineering efforts for production team including but not limited to: building new automation, documenting existing and future processes, tool research and other activities as required

Provides 3 rd tier support for client services in the form of research and queries.

Provides support for billing and finance in the form of queries and scripts.

Provides support for product management in terms of research

Provides support for sales in the form of sell-list scrubs and VPR’s

Develops client implementations according to specified business rules where appropriate

Works toward zero-defects in all production work
Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications Required:
(Experience, Skills, Academic)

4 years experience in, and thorough knowledge of SQL queries.
4 years experience with Oracle Databases and Windows OS
3+ years experience with Perl scripting.
SQL Server experience preferred
3 years experience in Software Development/Programming and/or Technical Operations with knowledge of the full lifecycle
Solid working knowledge of XMLs and flat files as it relates to system inputs/outputs
Familiarity with web application technologies such as HTML, ASP, .NET/ C# and IIS in Windows environments is a plus
BA/BS in Computer Science or information systems or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with a drive to understand how things work
Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and prioritize which issues are significant to business operations
Passion for learning and improving upon processes
