Position Overview:
· Must promote a safe and healthy work environment.
· Must satisfy customer expectation for quality.
· Must oversee all aspects of quality compliance, implementation & development of quality systems & ensuring efficient & effective quality assurance for all products.
· Must understand the performance expectations of the products as defined by customers.
· Systems must be established to assure these expectations are met, and where not, that systems are in place to quickly respond with problem solving and corrective action.
· Must satisfy corporate expectations for financial performance.
· Must understand the fundamentals of cost accounting, productivity, and the elimination of waste.
· Must identify risk situations and take measures to reduce the severity of a supply interruption or quality failure.
· Must learn product and process technologies and implement those that create a competitive edge. Changes must be implemented without interrupting customer service.
Job Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Lead manufacturing efforts for Willoughby's sand plant operations.
· Meet EHS objectives. Promote an accident free workplace, eliminate at-risk conditions and behaviors in the operation to continuously improve the team's environmental, health, and safety performance.
· Meet Quality objectives: Maintain ISO 9001:2008 systems and effectively manage related audits, both internal & external
· Lead the team in Six Sigma projects to reduce lead-time, to improve yields and customer quality, and to improve overall process performance.
· Meet Customer Service objectives by assuring customer satisfaction through on time delivery and improved error free delivery. Develop and maintain key supplier relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· MS or MBA (Preferred)
· BS Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
Required Work Experience:
· Eight (8) years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
· Three (3) years leadership experience in a manufacturing work environment.
Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
Six Sigma quality processes and methodology
· Lean Manufacturing concepts
· Quality System (ISO)
Education Requirements
· MS or MBA (Preferred)
· BS Degree in Engineering (Preferred)
Physical/Other Requirements
