Manages and oversees all operational activities on the 3

rd

shift in Solid Ink Manufacturing; ensures that all operations functions are performed in a timely, cost-effective manner consistent with established operations procedures and requirements.

Success metrics include meeting defined delivery schedules, process yield, cost, and quality of products.

Primary Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and directs production activities to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.

Designs, develops, and implements processes that increase yield and/or improve quality for all manufacturing.

Performs workflow analysis and develops methods for the production team.

Interfaces with peer managers, supervisors and technical staff to establish production and quality control standards.

Interfaces with technical managers and operation staff to resolve all operational customer complaints.

Develops, implements, and maintains, processes, procedures, and programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation.

Implements and maintains regional regulatory programs and company programs and standards.

Ensures that employees and managers have the required safety training and are consistently working in a safe manner; develops and implements safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.

Interfaces with managers to address organizational needs, equipment utilization and maintenance.

Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to subordinate employees; cultivates a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.

Prepares all required reports and correspondence.

Manages expenses within approved budget constraints.

Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Candidate Education:
Minimum: Bachelor Degree with Business Management focus

Candidate Experience (All Minimums):
3 years manufacturing management experience, preferably with over site of a direct labor Union workforce.

Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Ability to manage priorities and workflow

Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

Proven leadership and business acumen skills

Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions

Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
