Primarily responsible for technical consultations with the customer. Identifies obvious and potential needs of the customer's high volume production printing environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops a Statement of Work (SOW) for the end customer defining the potential needs of their high volume printing environment and conditions prior to the signing of the business contract. Obtains customer approval and signature on SOW.
Serves as a liaison and coordinates with back-end engineering organizations to provide the end customers with the resolution of customer equipment/networking/connectivity issues.
Should be able to write scripts to drive the High Volume printers: e.g., input/output tray selections, page orientation, print positioning, etc.
Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer training and delivery of professional systems consulting/integration services. Develops solutions for complex problems with regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Understands, develops and delivers systems/applications solutions to customer’s business, information, technical and educational needs.
Assists the end customer with writing scripts to drive the high volume print engines for the specific need.
Possesses a good understanding of third-party solutions as well as own products.
Ensures long-range initiatives are pursued in order to acquire capabilities in advance of trend/need.
Reviews the usage of documents in the business environment, solutions that can be developed for enhanced management of all electronic documents.
Improve processing and workflow of documents throughout business environments, leading increase in efficiency and productivity.
Receives limited direction. Work is performed without appreciable direction.
Exercises latitude in determining objectives of assignment.
Work is generally reviewed while in progress. Work outcomes are reviewed through status reports, milestone review and at completion to ensure policy compliance and alignment with project requirements.
May serve as a team lead and/or direct the work of others on assigned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
College degree in computer science or equivalent technical experience.
6 to 8 years directly related technical support experience. Certification A+, N+, CNE, MSCE, CDIA or other industry certifications as required.
3+ years of technical knowledge of Data Center and/or Commercial printing environment preferred.
Working technical knowledge on digital publishing printing is a plus.
