As part of the planning team, the Scheduler is an integral part of Anderson Fittings' future growth and success. An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes and systems is highly desired. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity. The Scheduler is responsible for planning the tasks associated with all manufacturing processes within a business unit. This includes creating master schedules utilizing the MRP/ERP system; monitoring schedules and coordinating any necessary schedule changes; monitoring inventory levels (including raw materials, finished goods and purchased parts) with orders; initiating requests for all purchased materials/parts as required; monitoring scheduling requirements to release work orders to production floor and maintain effective workflow; work closely with customer service and sales to establish customer promise dates and coordinate shipments; coordinate with Engineering on blue prints, tooling, routings and other actions required to begin the manufacturing process; coordinate outsourced secondary operations; and assist/lead the coordination of physical inventories, providing input on planning and procedures.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and will be highly focused and organized with a knowledge of machine manufacturing processes. Five or more years scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment required along with experience using MRP/scheduling systems and a proficiency in Microsoft applications. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
