The Production Services Shift Manager is classified as a full-time employee and shall be responsible for the technical coordination of one of the following technical areas; Audio and repair, lighting and CAD, rigging and staging, or video and data for all live performances and special events. In addition, the Production Services Shift Manager must be able to assist in set-up, operation, removal and maintenance of all production services equipment. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Position Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalency required.
  • Five (5) years experience in the set-up, operation, removal and maintenance of any one or more of the following technical areas: audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline, and video or Hotel AV.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical theatre and its components. Possess advanced skill sets and knowledge of theatrical equipment and its principals.
  • Two (2) years experience in production and/or theater management.
  • Two (2) years experience in supervisory LEAD Engineer role of one of the following technical areas: audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline, and video or Hotel AV.

  • Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
