Cargill Health & Nutrition is a leading developer, processor and marketer of science-based, health-promoting ingredients and specialty sweeteners for the food and dietary supplement industries worldwide.

Plants are located in the United States, Europe and China.

Principal Accountabilities:
30% -

Development and supervision of direct and indirect reports. Work with peers at location and other facilities

in establishing consistent personnel policies and plant practices.

Lead plant in a manner that creates a safe and engaging work environment.

20% -

Develop strategies for operations and collaborate with other functional leaders to deliver on

an continuous improvement and operational excellence models.

20% -

Establish, implement and maintain capital and operationg budgets.

20% -

Oversee product quality to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Interface with customers on plant visits and audits.

5% -

Comply with all Government regulations and Cargill policies and procedures which include, but are not limited to environmental, safety, HACCP, and cGMP.

5% -

Perform Business Unit and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and/or 10+ years of technical experience.

5+ years production management and supervisory experience.

Working Knowledge of Food Safety, OSHA, and Environmental regulations.

Demonstrated team building, leadership and conflict resolution skills.

Knowledge of basic HR practices, EEO requirements, guiding principles, etc.

Ability to effectively communicate(written, verbal, presentation skills) at multiple levels of Cargill and customer organizations.

Demonstrated skills including project scheduling, leadership and supervisory skills, economic analysis, and basic operations knowledge.

Preferred

Experience with Process Safety Management

Experience in safety leadership

Ability to understand complex chemical operations, engineering, logistics and business activities

Capital Project experience

Experience with reliability concepts to support and develop operational excellence

Strong sense of ownership, proven follow through and delivery against goals
